Our Leadership at Saint John’s

Father James Linton: Rector

Father James Linton was raised in a home that made faith in Christ a priority. He knew Jesus from childhood and knew he was going to be a pastor as early as High School. He graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary with a Masters of Theology (Th.M) in 2009. He was ordained a priest in the ACNA in August of 2012.
Father James is passionate about those who are far from God coming to saving knowledge of Jesus. He also has a heart to see God’s kingdom come, bringing justice to the outcast and the oppressed.
Father James lives with his wife Ileana, his five children Grace, Augustine, Zoe, Malachi, and Israel, and his crazy dog, Aslan. He enjoys running, hiking, reading, writing, and drinking or brewing craft beer.

Deacon Andrew Rutkowski: Transitional Deacon

Andy Rutkowski is a Deacon and is serving as a minister at St John’s Anglican Church. He grew up as an Air Force brat and then a missionary brat, spending about a third of his childhood overseas, where he developed a strong faith and love for other cultures. Upon completing his undergrad at Penn State, where he met his wife, Jen, he embarked on a 20-year Air Force career spanning 6 assignments across 5 states. In 2017, his family, now including 3 boys (Ben, Luke, and Mark), was drawn into the Anglican tradition in which he would subsequently discern a call to the priesthood. He then completed in 2021 both a Master of Divinity (MDiv) from Fuller Theological Seminary and a Diploma of Anglican Studies (DAS) from Trinity School of Ministry. Upon his retirement from Active Duty in 2021 he and his family settled in UT, where they had previously been stationed and grew to love the area, despite both him and Jen growing up on the East Coast. He currently works as an Air Force Civilian at Hill AFB. He has a passion for Church History, the Church Fathers,Scripture, the vulnerable, and being a witness to the Gospel.
